Fundraising

Over the summer I have had a lot of time to think about things. One of those things occurred in February, when a winter storm hit Texas. Trees fell, there were a series of power outages, pipes burst, and a large amount of the wildlife froze to death. During this time, life felt enclosed. It was almost dream-like to think that Texas could freeze over, and then to see it happen. After the freeze, many people needed help. Most tasks involved yard work and collecting the fallen branches from trees that had frozen. Other tasks centered around removing the corpses of wildlife that had burrowed themselves deep in the landowner’s property. Oftentimes I would mention my upcoming mission trip, and when the work was done, the kind and giving people would donate to my fund. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. It means so much to me to have a community of loving people backing me up and supporting my decision to go on The World Race. I would also like to add that I am now selling clothing for profit to go into the race fund. There are shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies -all available to be shipped at the click of a button to supporters, friends, family, fellow racers, or just whoever wants it! Here’s the link: https://www.bonfire.com/store/caelum/. I wish all of those reading this a wonderful Sunday and God bless!

  1. Hello Gus,
I read your story & your mind- set is right on. I see you are a thoughtful & caring young man. Life is going to take you a long way. I wish you all the best in the days to come. Take care & be safe ??

  2. You have a servant’s heart, Gus. And as Grace H. just wrote in her blog, “God didn’t ask me to fundraise. He asked me to trust Him.” My prayer is that God is taking you deeper and showing you His goodness through raising funds. It’s not a matter of “if”, but “when.” I’m thankful you’re on Gap I!

  3. We are praying for your provision. We are looking forward to meeting you in person.
